The Famous Spiegeltent to arrive in Sydney one week late – but the shows must go on!
Sydney Opera House regretfully announces the delayed arrival of the Famous Spiegeltent affecting its Gorgeous! Program of music, comedy, cabaret and kids shows.
The Famous Spiegeltent was expected to arrive in Sydney on 10 October but the container ship transporting the tent from the United Kingdom has been extensively delayed at sea. The Spiegeltent will now arrive in Sydney on Tuesday, 21 October and will be constructed overnight with the first show due to take place on Wednesday, 22 October.
Due to this unavoidable delay, performances scheduled to take place in The Famous Spiegeltent on Friday 17, Saturday 18, Sunday 19 and Tuesday 21st October will now take place in The Studio at Sydney Opera House.
This delay affects the performance of The Audreys on Tues 21 Oct. This show will now take place in the Studio, your tickets are valid for the rescheduled performance and seating remains unreserved.

From Wednesday 22 October onwards, Gorgeous! shows will take place in The Famous Spiegeltent on the Sydney Opera House Forecourt as previously advertised.

The season has not been cancelled. Performances scheduled to take place on Friday 17, Saturday 18, Sunday 19 October and Tuesday 21 October will now take place in The Studio. The rest of the season of shows will take place in the Speigeltent as advertised.
Have performance times been affected?
No. All performance times remain the same with the exception of the performance by Dick and Christa Hughes scheduled for 6pm, Sunday 19 October. This performance will now take place on Saturday 15 November at 4.30pm.
Have any performances been cancelled?
The 10am performances of Men of Steel on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 October have been cancelled. Patrons with tickets for these shows can attend the 2pm performances which take place on the Saturday and Sunday.
When will the Speigeltent performances be running as advertised?
From Wednesday 22 October performances will take place in the Spiegeltent as previously advertised.
Where can I collect tickets for performances on Friday 17, Saturday 18, Sunday 19 and Tuesday 21 October?
Tickets for performances on these dates can be collected in the Drama Theatre box office, located on the western side of the building.
I have tickets for a performance on Friday 17 October, what do I do?
You should come to the box office in the Drama Theatre foyer to collect tickets. Sydney Opera House staff will be available to provide directions to The Studio.
I have tickets for performances on Friday 17 October and also Thursday 21 October, what do I do?
For the performance on Friday 17 October you should go to the box office in the Drama Theatre foyer to collect tickets. Sydney Opera House staff will then direct you to the Studio. For the performance on Thursday 21 October, you should go to the main box office in Sydney Opera House to collect tickets and then go to the Famous Spiegeltent on the Forecourt.
I bought tickets because a show was being performed in the Speigeltent - can I get a refund?
